The June 26th slot on the Iceberg Alley Performance Tent schedule stood out like a sore thumb for weeks. While every other dates had been filled with familiar names and crowd-pleasing promises, one lonely rectangle of the poster read only: "WE’RE WORKING ON IT! DETAILS COMING SOON".

Well, the wait is finally over and holy bass drop, it was worth it: Marianas Trench are BACK!

That’s right. Marianas Trench will return to Newfoundland this summer for a second consecutive year at the Iceberg Alley Performance Tent and this time, they’re armed with an entirely new record: HAVEN. Released last year, Haven is a bold, cinematic album that showcases everything we’ve come to love about the band: powerful vocals, ridiculous harmonies, emotional gut-punches and that over-the-top flair that only Josh Ramsay and company can deliver. If last year’s show with MICO left you breathless, brace yourself, this is going to be next-level.

Marianas Trench has a longstanding reputation for transforming their concerts into immersive experiences and Haven, with songs like "Lightning And Thunder", "Remember Me By" and "I'm Not Getting Better", has all the makings of a live spectacle. Whether you’re a diehard fan who’s been blasting Fix Me since high school or a newer listener just getting hooked by the layered storytelling of Haven, this concert promises something for everyone.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there, because the opening act is just as exciting. But who’s LØLØ you may ask?

Canadian pop-rock sensation LØLØ is making her Newfoundland debut. Rising from her hometown of Toronto, she’s been opening for acts such as New Found Glory, Boys Like Girls, State Champs and Simple Plan. She built a massive following through her genre-bending tracks and viral TikToks. With a style that fuses pop-punk vulnerability with alt-pop edge, she’s not just opening the night, she’s about to steal some hearts. Known for songs like "u turn me on (but u give me depression)" and "faceplant", LØLØ is the perfect addition to this stacked lineup. Her honest lyricism and punk princess energy are bound to make her a new favourite on the island.

What this means for Iceberg Alley? This announcement proves once again that the Iceberg Alley Performance Tent is more than just a festival, it’s a defining part of Newfoundland’s summer culture. Bringing in both iconic acts and fresh new faces, the June 26th show captures what makes Iceberg Alley so unique: a night where fans of all ages can scream their lungs out to songs that define decades.

So, dust off your best eyeliner, pull out the old band tees and get ready to scream "Whoa-oh-oh" into the Atlantic air, Marianas Trench is coming to Newfoundland. Catch them June 26th at Iceberg Alley in Quidi Vidi, with special guest LØLØ.

This one’s going to sell out fast. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
