If you thought Arkells were done surprising us, think again. Canada’s favorite indie-rock powerhouse is gearing up to release their eleventh studio album, Between Us, on April 17th, and honestly… we’re counting down the days like kids waiting for summer camp. From the infectious first single to high-profile collaborations, this is shaping up to be one of the band’s most exciting chapters yet.

The lead single, “Next Summer- which is already out today with the music video ! and it’s the perfect anthem to kick off your spring ( or waiting for spring since it’s still cold haha )

With its upbeat energy and signature Arkells charm, it’s the track you didn’t know you needed but now won’t stop listening to.

And that’s just the beginning. The album also has tracks you may have already heard, like “What Good?” and “Money featuring none other than Portugal. The Man.

But The band doesn’t stop there—they’ve called in Grouplove for “Ride” and Poolside for “What’s On Your Mind,” creating a dynamic, collaborative energy that feels fresh while staying quintessentially Arkells.

Here’s a sneak peek at the tracklist for Between Us:

  1. Next Summer

  2. What Good?

  3. Ride (feat. Grouplove)

  4. Money (feat. Portugal. The Man)

  5. Imagine Barcelona

  6. Desire’s Got Some Questions

  7. Universe Talking

  8. Two Hearts

  9. What’s On Your Mind (feat. Poolside)

  10. Rumour

  11. Escape Door

Looking at these titles alone, you can feel the mix of fun, introspection, and pure Arkells energy. From anthems that make you want to jump around your living room to thoughtful tracks that linger in your mind, this album promises a little bit of everything for fans old and new.

And if you’re a live music lover like me who’s seen Arkells every year since 2021—you already know that their albums aren’t just meant for headphones.

The band is hitting the UK in 2026, performing at the JUNOs in their hometown in March, and taking the stage at a festival in may in Fergus, ontario ( the many of festivals dates hopefully more in 2026) . You can bet that these tracks are going to come alive on stage, bigger and bolder than ever.

Honestly, I cannot wait for April 17th. Between Us isn’t just another Arkells album—it’s a celebration of connection, collaboration, and pure, unfiltered joy. So mark your calendars, pre-save the album, and start rehearsing your air guitar solos. This one’s going to be unforgettable.
